Hezy Shaked
Co-Founder, Executive Chairman
Hezy Shaked co-founded the Tilly’s concept in 1982 and formed our company in 1984. He currently serves as our Executive Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer. Mr. Shaked has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors since our inception and has served as our Chief Strategy Officer since February 2011. From September 2008 to February 2011, Mr. Shaked served as our President and Chief Executive Officer. From September 2006 to September 2008, Mr. Shaked served as our Co-Chief Executive Officer. From our inception to September 2006, Mr. Shaked served as our President and Chief Executive Officer. As our Co-Founder and former President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Shaked has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all facets of our business and has developed extensive professional relationships during his over 30 years of experience in the retail industry. Through his experience and knowledge of our operations and the industry in which we compete, Mr. Shaked is well-suited to serve as Chairman of our board of directors.
 
Nate Smith
President, Chief Executive Officer

Nate Smith joined Tillys in August 2025. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Smith served Marolina Outdoor, Inc. since September 2024 as its Chief Executive Officer. Previously, he served Boardriders, Inc. from June 2017 to April 2024 as President, Americas. Prior to Boardriders, Mr. Smith served as Vice President/General Manager, North American Wholesale at Oakley, Inc. from September 2015 to June 2017 and as Vice President, Oakley Defense from July 2012 to June 2017. He also served in executive roles at IPATH Footwear, MV Transportation, Inc. and Patagonia, Inc., following his eight years of service in the United States Navy.

Mike Henry
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Michael Henry became our Chief Financial Officer in June 2015. From July 2012 to May 2015, Mr. Henry served Quiksilver, Inc., most recently as Senior Vice President, Global Controller. Prior to joining Quiksilver, Mr. Henry served Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. for over a decade in several roles, including most recently as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer from January 2008 to April 2011. From September 1994 to September 2000, Mr. Henry served in the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Mr. Henry holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is a certified public accountant (inactive).
Michael Cingolani
Executive Vice President, Chief Merchandising Officer

Michael Cingolani was promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Merchandising Officer, in March 2026. He previously served as our Senior Vice President, General Merchandising Manager since November 2024 and as our Senior Director, Divisional Merchandise Manager, Men’s and Boys Apparel, from August 2024 to November 2024.

Prior to joining us, he served at rue21 from May 2019 to May 2024, including as its Chief Merchandising Officer, from July 2022 to May 2024. Prior to joining rue21, Mr. Cingolani served as Tillys’ Divisional Merchandise Manager, Men’s and Boys Branded Apparel and Fashion Tops, for five years. Prior to this, Mr. Cingolani served as Director/Sr. Buyer at Foot Locker, Inc. from June 2011 to September 2014. He served Lands’ End, Inc. as a Global Merchandise Manager in the Men’s Division from June 2009 to June 2011. From November 2005 to February 2009, Mr. Cingolani served at Pacific Sunwear as a Buyer in various divisions. Prior to Pacific Sunwear, Mr. Cingolani held various buying positions at both Kohl’s Corp and American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. from June 2001 to November 2005.
 

Robert Kim
Senior Vice President, Merchandise Planning and Allocation

Robert Kim joined us in May 2023.  Prior to joining Tillys, Mr. Kim served as the Vice President of Inventory Management for the 99 Cents Only Stores from November 2019 to March of 2023.  He has also led Merchandise Planning and Allocation teams for National Stores, Wet Seal and Forever 21.  Mr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin.

 

Shelly Bueno-Johnson
Senior Vice President, Stores

Shelly Bueno-Johnson was promoted to Senior Vice President of Stores in January 2024. She previously served as our Vice President of Stores since November 2006. Prior to that, Ms. Bueno-Johnson served as our Director of Stores since April 2006 and our Director of Training and Development since January 2004. Prior to that, Ms. Bueno-Johnson served in multiple management capacities at The Wet Seal from 1989 to 2003, with the last position held of Director of Training and Development. 

 

Roy Herrera
Vice President, Distribution and Logistics

Roy Herrera has served as our Vice President, Distribution and Logistics since June 2022.  He previously served as our Director of Distribution from June 2013 to June 2022.  Prior to joining us, he served in roles of increasing management responsibility at each of Ross Stores, Pacific Sunwear, Toys “R” Us and Target.  Roy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of San Francisco.

Bobby Gascon
Vice President, Marketing and Innovation

Bobby Gascon became our Vice President of Marketing and Innovation in October 2023. Prior to joining us, he served as Vice President of Marketing at Quiksilver, Inc. from May 2022 to September 2023. Prior to that, he spent 13 years with Vans, where he held multiple leadership roles, including Senior Global Marketing Director, Action Sports (2014–2022), and Senior Marketing Manager, Vans Canada (2009–2014).

Mike Angioletti
Vice President, E-Commerce

Michael Angioletti has served as our Vice President of E-commerce since January 2022.  Since joining us in 2004, he helped launch Tillys.com and held several roles of increasing responsibility prior to his promotion to VP.  Prior to Tillys, Mr. Angioletti served as E-commerce Merchandise Manager at Guess, Inc. from 2000 to 2004.  He began his career in e-commerce at Gap, Inc. from 1998 to 2000.  Mr. Angioletti holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Los Angeles.

 

Julie Campbell
Vice President of Visual Merchandising
Julie Campbell has served as our Vice President of Visual Merchandising since February 2014. Prior to that, Ms. Campbell served as Tilly’s Director of Visual Merchandising for nine years. Joining the company in 1988, Ms. Campbell began her career as Store Manager and was promoted to Visual Merchandising Manager in 1998. With over 25 years experience in Visual Merchandising, Ms. Campbell has been instrumental in developing and evolving Tilly’s unique and dynamic retail experience.
Efren Medellin
Vice President of Construction
Efren Medellin has served as our Vice President of Construction since February 2014 and as Director of Construction and in various management capacities including Real Estate and Purchasing since April 2003. From 1991 to 2003, Mr. Medellin served in various management positions at Wet Seal, with the last position held of Director of Construction. Mr. Medellin has over 20 years experience in the retail industry.
Matthew Dang
Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis

Matthew Dang joined us as our Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis in March 2016.  Prior to joining us, Mr. Dang served at Pacific Sunwear from 2007 to 2016, most recently as Senior Director of Financial Planning from 2013 to 2016.  Prior to that, he served at Timberland Company as Senior Manager of Finance from 2005 to 2007 and at Hot Topic from 2000 to 2005, including as Assistant Controller from 2003 to 2005 following roles of Manager of Financial Planning, Sales Audit and Inventory Control.  Prior to that, Mr. Dang held various positions with increasing responsibilities at Frederick’s of Hollywood, Wherehouse Entertainment and Warner Bros. Studio Stores and Warner Home Video.  Mr. Dang holds a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from California State University, Northridge and a Master of Science, Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona.

Christina Campbell
Vice President, Controller
Christina Campbell has been our Vice President, Controller since March 2015. Ms. Campbell served as the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis of The Wet Seal, Inc. from 2012 to February 2015, the Director Assistant Controller from 2001 to 2012, and in various other positions prior to 2001. From 1996 to 2000, Ms. Campbell served in various positions at Allen, Haight & Cooney, LLP, Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton. Ms. Campbell is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jaheida Sanchez
Vice President, Human Resources

Jaheida Sanchez was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources in September 2021.  Previously, Ms. Sanchez served as our Director of Human Resources from 2017 to 2021.  Since joining us in 2005, Ms. Sanchez has held several roles of increasing responsibility, including HR Generalist, HR Manager, Senior Manager of Human Resources, and Director of Human Resources.  Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Sanchez served Mervyn's from 1998 to 2005 in several leadership roles including Human Resources Department Lead.  Ms. Sanchez studied at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
